I’m Aishat Suleiman, but I go by Bintuparis online.
I’m a new but intentional researcher, working at the intersection of protocol design, validator behavior, and economic incentives in blockchain systems.
I don’t have a formal background in computer science or economics. I studied Sociology. However, I’ve found a niche in understanding, simplifying, and visualizing complex systems. I care about what makes decentralized networks tick; and how we can make them more resilient, honest, and efficient.
Right now, I’m writing a survey paper on slashing mechanisms, exploring how different blockchains (like Ethereum, Solana, and Polkadot) penalize misbehavior, and what those mechanisms reveal about protocol values and risk assumptions. It’s my little way of mapping the messy middle ground between cryptoeconomics theory and real-world validator behavior.
Along the way, I’ve:
- Built onchain dashboards on Dune and Flipside (on Solana staking flows, Solana validator latency trends, Ethereum Proposer block rewards)
- Written an explanatory blog on Solana improvements like Timely Vote Credits
- Created short videos that simplify validator incentives for a broader audience—one of which caught attention from the wider Solana community
- Helped design explanatory flowcharts for SIMDs (Solana Improvement Documents)
I’m a fast and obsessive learner. I spend my days reading papers, studying set theory, writing research notes, practicing Python on DataCamp, and catching up on what’s happening in protocol R&D.
I don’t always feel like I know what I’m doing—but I do believe in compound progress. I show up, learn what I don’t know, and try to build work that will matter long-term.
Outside of research, I love cooking (egusi soup, jollof rice, and banga soup are my classics), watching movies with my boyfriend, reading biographies (currently reading Estee Lauder) and self-help books, and dreaming about balancing great work with a beautiful family.
I used to be an athlete (quarter miler)—maybe I’ll get back to being an athlete, not as a sprinter, but as a swimmer.
👋 Work With Me
I’m available for remote protocol research, technical writing, and data analysis (especially incentive modeling, validator studies, or anything related to economic coordination in blockchains).
I’m especially excited about small, high-agency teams or solo projects with tangible impact.
